Feldor

Feldor is a smaller island in the Aeqeron archipeligo, with mountains, forests, and tundras making the island a varied landscape. It is inhabited by several races, including elves, dragonborn, dwarves and humans, with some other humanoids in individual or small groups. Some rare races, like phraint, have deep, ancient associations with the island and its inhabitants.

Elvish lands are considered to be in the south, their ancient home of Barhithtaur nestled in a great redwood forest. Homes in the town are built into stumps and remains of burned out trees, blending seemlessly into the landscape. It is rare to see non-elves in the town, as they trade infrequently with other races and are distrustful of others. Low on manpower, ancient guardians and enchantments and used to help protect the village from invaders, along with the location buried deep in the forest. Tribal elves often bond with wyrms, acting as mounts, scouts, and lifelong compainions.

A mining colony for the dwarves exists in the largest town on the island, Dun Falas. Enclosed by stout stone walls, dwarves often leave by day through great gates by carts to mines in the mountains or small holdfasts to bring trade into the town. Ships keep the town supplied via routes to other islands, which are protected, for a price, by quasi-legal pirates in the town. It is not uncommon for other inhabitants to visit and stay in order to shop or trade, and their reception in the town is warm if trouble is not caused.

In the mountains stretching into the north of the island, often known as the Wyrmspine, a series of castles built into the mountains are the ancesteral home to the dragonborn. For centuries, and single queen Shisoa, Longtail has presided over all of the dragon-kin in Felscale Fortress, and her extended reign has centralised all political power to her. While a feudalistic society, with a number of barons have sworn knights and vassals, a small number of landless merchants have sway with their gold reserves. Knights and brazen armed dragonborn often declare chevauchée, where they raid other races for slaves, gold and food for prestige in their society. Tournaments are another means for ambitious dragonborn to make their mark before their queen.
